Please read this product description thoroughly as it is designed to answer many common questions about this service & its options.
Checking headspace
We are happy to check and confirm that the headspace of your barrel is within allowable tolerances. You will need to provide your bolt in order for us to do this.
Dimple for gas block set screws
As a more foolproof way to secure a gas block to a barrel, adding dimples to a barrel in one or two locations helps the set screws locate and bite into the barrel. Please note that when we dimple a barrel, our dimple jib locates off the gas port, so if your gas port is not exactly at 12 o'clock, your gas block will be slightly canted.
Muzzle device Timing
Some, but not all, muzzle devices can be timed to help mitigate recoil for right or left handed shooters. An example of this would be the Surefire Warcomp with its ported design.
Rocksett on Muzzle device
Rocksett is recommended if your muzzle devices serves double duty as a suppressor mount.
Knurled Gas block set screws
Adding knurled gas block set screws help get some extra bite into the barrel to prevent the screws from backing out under recoil.
Lathe True Receiver Face
This is a service to true the face of your AR receiver in order to ensure good alignment with your barrel extension.
Polish Feed ramps
Polishing and smoothing out course or rough feed ramps can aid in more consistent and reliable feeding. This service does not alter the geometry of your feed ramps, it only polishes the surface of them.
Shim and Bed barrel to receiver
This creates a tighter fit between your barrel & receiver. This can help improve accuracy on an accuracy focused build.
