**Please note that this is a permanent conversion and once done, the barrel can only be used with the MWS Platform**
Compatible barrels
While this conversion can be done on most AR10 barrels, there are a few exceptions. The follow barrels are not compatible with the conversion:
FixedWe recommend using a low profile gas block like SLR, Badger TDX, or Kratos due to it's low profile shape and consistent quality. While it's possible other styles and brands may work, these are the ones we've found work the best and offer the most clearance to the inside of the rail.AdjustableIf you want to opt for an adjustable gas block, one from Superlative Arms or Riflespeed works best because of it's low profile and symmetric design. Unfortunately designs like Seekins, JP, or Odin works for example are asymmetric and will contact the inside of the rail..SizingThe size of the gas block needed will be determined by the OEM of the barrel. Gas blocks come in four popular sizes 0.625", 0.750" (Most common), 0.875", and 0.936". You will need to confirm the proper size that is applicable for your particular barrel.
StyleThe type of gas tube needed is dictated by your gas block. 99.9% of the time this conversion will use a normal "bent" style mil-spec gas tube. **The one exception is if you are using a gas block that is specifically designed to work with a straight tube like a Riflespeed adjustable gas block**LengthGas tube length will be dictated by the specifications of the barrel you choice for the conversion. In the specifications it will list the gas system length like Carbine, Mid-length, Intermediate, Rifle length, Rifle +1, or Rifle +2
